The discography of American recording artist Miley Cyrus consists of two studio albums, one live album, two extended plays, ten singles, eight music videos, and one soundtrack. Cyrus’ debut studio album, Meet Miley Cyrus, was released in June 2007. It was the second disc of the double album Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus, which peaked at number one in the United States (where it was also certified three times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America) and in the top ten in Canada, New Zealand, and Norway. Her second album, Breakout, was released in July 2008 and peaked at number one in the United States, Canada, and Australia. It was certified platinum in the U.S. and Ireland, and gold in the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and Spain.

Cyrus has contributed to the soundtracks of the films Bolt and Bridge to Terabithia and to the first soundtrack of the television series Hannah Montana, but her first major contribution to a soundtrack (not counting credits to the Hannah Montana character) was in 2009 with the soundtrack to Hannah Montana: The Movie. She has also released the live album Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, which peaked at number three in the United States and Canada, and the Wal-Mart-exclusive extended play The Time of Our Lives, which peaked at number two in the United States.

The song “The Climb,” from the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack, peaked at number one on Billboard‘s Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart in July 2009, making Cyrus the second-youngest artist to top the chart after LeAnn Rimes’ “How Do I Live” in 1997. A month later, the song “Party in the U.S.A.,” from The Time of Our Lives, debuted at number one on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart with download sales of 226,000.Cyrus has recorded two charity singles, “Just Stand Up!” with Artists Stand Up to Cancer in 2008, and “Send It On” with Disney’s Friends for Change in 2009. On November 1, 2009, Party in the U.S.A. became Cyrus’ third single to narrowly miss out on the top ten in the United Kingdom, by peaking at number eleven; along with See You Again and The Climb. She has still yet to achieve a U.K. top ten single.
